Viking Bearded Axe 3D Model
High-quality hyper-realistic 3D model of a classic Viking bearded axe (Type L / Petersen Type L), historically accurate and battle-worn.
This axe faithfully recreates the iconic Scandinavian bearded axe from the 9th–11th century. The long, drooping "beard" allowed warriors to hook shields, disarm opponents, or use the lower edge as a cutting tool. The blade shows heavy use: deep nicks, hammer marks, forge scale, micro-pitting and realistic wear on the cutting edge. The high-carbon steel has been differentially hardened and shows the typical darker hamon line near the edge.
The ash wood haft is hand-carved, slightly curved for better balance in combat, and wrapped with authentic tarred leather cord for a secure grip. The wood grain, subtle cracks and weathering are all hand-painted and based on real archaeological references.
Perfect for historical games, cinematic projects, VR/AR experiences, museum visualizations, or any Viking/Norse-themed production.
Fully PBR textured (4K resolution)
Real-world scale
