While in South America, Kevin Michael VerKamp became familiar with the traditional shamanism, including the entheogen Ayahuasca, and it's active ingredient, DMT. These eye opening experiences (well, "third eye opening") led him back onto a path of art - something he enjoyed tremendously in his childhood. Much of his art is influenced by the spiritual awakening and self-realization these experiences have inspired.
