Game Ready Converter Cross-DCC Pipeline Toolkit
Game Ready Converter — Cross-DCC Pipeline Toolkit
A suite of six custom plugins built to automate the high-poly-to-game-ready pipeline across the industry's core content creation tools: Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush, Unity, and Unreal Engine.
Rather than reinventing mesh processing from scratch, each plugin wraps and orchestrates the native systems already built into its host application — ZBrush's ZRemesher and Multi Map Exporter, Unreal's Quadric mesh reduction system, Maya's Transfer Maps, 3ds Max's ProOptimizer and Render To Texture, and Blender's Cycles baking — unified under one consistent, configurable workflow.
Pipeline stages (fully configurable per asset):
Retopology / auto-remeshing
Polygon decimation to a target triangle budget
Automatic UV unwrapping
Normal + Ambient Occlusion baking from high-poly to low-poly
Automated LOD chain generation with adjustable falloff
Direct export to FBX / glTF / OBJ, game-engine ready
Engine-side handoff:For Unity and Unreal — which are renderers, not modelers — the toolkit shifts focus to what those engines do well: LOD Group setup, mesh compression and import optimization, lightmap UV generation, collision generation, and native Nanite/Mesh Reduction integration in Unreal. Unity also ships with a custom quadric-error mesh simplifier for fast in-engine LOD passes when a full DCC round-trip isn't needed.
The result is a single, repeatable pipeline that takes a sculpt or CAD-derived high-poly mesh from any of six major tools and turns it into a clean, textured, LOD-ready game asset — cutting down the manual retopo/bake/export grind that eats up so much production time.
Built with: Python (Blender, Maya, Unreal), MAXScript (3ds Max), ZScript (ZBrush), C# (Unity)
