Her mother, a healer of the pixie clans, vanished when Shay was a child, leaving behind a pendant that glows faintly whenever danger nears. Raised by the forest itself — whispering trees, glowing sprites, and the gentle hum of unseen wings — Shay learned to listen to the rhythm of magic rather than command it.
Unlike most of her kin, Shay’s magic doesn’t manifest through spells or incantations. It flows through emotion — joy summons blossoms, sorrow calls rain, and anger bends light itself. This gift makes her both revered and feared among the fair folk, for emotion is unpredictable, and the forest remembers every surge of power.
Now, at eighteen, Shay stands at the threshold between innocence and destiny. The Veil of Seasons, a shimmering barrier that protects Aeloria from the mortal world, is weakening.
