Office Armchair 3D Model
This is a custom-designed ergonomic armrest extension with an integrated elbow support platform, created for office chairs with minimal or non-padded armrests. The design improves forearm comfort during long working or gaming sessions.
This ergonomic armrest extension is designed for chairs with metal frame arms and includes a reinforced elbow rest platform. The design uses threaded brass inserts and M4 bolts for secure fastening and durability.
Printing Tips:
Material: PETG or ABS recommended for structural strength
Layer height: 0.2 mm
Infill: ≥40%
Supports: Enabled (especially under overhangs of base part)
Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Heat a soldering iron to ~200–230 C.
Align each 5 D8 L9 brass insert with its respective slot on the underside of the elbow platform.
Gently press the insert into the plastic until it is flush with the surface using the heated tip.
2. Attach Elbow Platform to Armrest Base:
Align the elbow platform over the armrest base holes.
Insert 3M5x40mm bolts from the bottom side of the base and tighten into the brass inserts using a hex key or screwdriver.
Ensure all bolts are snug, but avoid overtightening.
3. Mount the Assembly to the Chair:
Position the armrest base onto the metal frame of your chair.
Use screws or bolts compatible with your chair's frame to fix the armrest in place (holes provided).
You may use washers or small brackets for additional stability depending on the frame geometry.
4. Optional Padding (Recommended):
For extra comfort, attach foam or gel padding to the top of the elbow platform.
Use double-sided adhesive, Velcro, or elastic straps.
