Universal LimbLock Bake Script
Detailed Description of the "Universal LimbLock Bake" Script
This Daz Studio script is designed for professional animation preparation and "baking." It combines seamless looping functionality with advanced stabilization for linear transitions.
1. Universal Compatibility
The script is designed as a universal solution and works correctly with all figure generations (Genesis 1, 2, 3, 8, 8.1, 9), as well as any custom models. Thanks to an intelligent detection system that analyzes both technical bone names and their display labels, the script accurately identifies body structures regardless of the rig's complexity.
2. Seamless Loop Algorithm
The script’s primary function is to transform standard animation into a perfect loop. To achieve this, it creates an intelligent transition during the final part of the timeline (the last 10 frames). The script analyzes the bone positions in the very first frame and smoothly "pulls" the final frame values toward them. As a result, the visual "pop" or jump is eliminated when the animation cycles from end to start.
3. Linear Transition Animation (Copying & Stabilization)
The script is equally effective for non-looping, linear animations. When creating a transition, it copies data from the target frame and applies it to the final segment using specialized smoothing. During this process, limbs (arms and legs) are "locked": their positions are strictly fixed to the final coordinates. This completely eliminates "foot sliding" or hand drifting at the end of the motion.
4. Limb Chain Logic & Individual Baking
The script maintains anatomical integrity by processing entire hierarchical chains—from the shoulder to the fingertips and from the hip to the tips of the toes. It offers total flexibility: you can select a specific node, and the script will apply changes only to that node and its children.
5. Technical Integrity (Euler Fix)
While recording data, the script automatically corrects mathematical rotation errors. It resolves the "spinning bone" issue (where a node might perform an unwanted 360-degree flip), which is critical for a clean export to game engines or external 3D software.
