The history of the Porsche 911 began in 1963, when it was first shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show. At that time, no one predicted that this car would last on the assembly line for 50 years and became a cult and legend of all times and peoples. At first, the name was different. The model was called the Porsche 901, but a scandal broke out with the company Peugeot , which presented the rights to the names of the models with zero in the middle. Porsche did not argue and simply replaced "0" with "1". This is how the now known name "911" appeared - that is, it is a stubborn rear-wheel drive rear-engine car that replaced the Porsche 356 model.
