SceneAgent MCP Plugin Edition for DAZ Studio 4
One plugin file connects your AI assistant to DAZ Studio 4.20+. 114 tools, every change undoable, no scripts executed.
The same assistant, built for DAZ Studio 4. This is its own binary compiled against the DAZ Studio 4.5 SDK — not a DAZ Studio 6 plugin that happens to load elsewhere.
Ask for a figure and it searches your own installed library, loads it and fits the clothing. Ask for a camera angle, lighting, a surface change, an animation or a render, and it does that too — then captures the viewport, looks at the result, and corrects itself.
WHAT IT CAN REACH
Figures and props from your content library. Cameras and lights. Surfaces, textures and morphs. The timeline, including writing a whole animation in one pass. The renderer. 114 tools in total.
WHAT IS DIFFERENT ON DAZ STUDIO 4
Six operations are not offered at all, because that version of DAZ Studio genuinely cannot perform them: applying and resetting poses, duplicating a node, and reading or writing render settings. They are not hidden failures — the plugin does not advertise them, and if you ask for one anyway it tells you plainly why and what to use instead. Everything else behaves as it does on DAZ Studio 6.
WHY IT IS SAFE TO POINT AT A REAL SCENE
It cannot run code. Every action comes from a fixed list of allowed operations, each classified read-only, reversible or destructive, and destructive ones require explicit confirmation. Every operation is grouped into exactly one undo entry.
The plugin serves the connection itself, on your own machine only, behind an access token, and it stays switched off until you start it in the pane. No content is downloaded or generated.
SETTING IT UP
Copy the plugin into your DAZ Studio 4 plugins folder and restart. Open Window > Panes > SceneAgent MCP, press Start, then press Copy MCP client config and paste that into your AI client.
