SceneAgent MCP Plugin Edition for DAZ Studio 4 and 6
One purchase, both plugins: connect your AI assistant to DAZ Studio 4.20+ and DAZ Studio 6. Every change undoable, no scripts executed.
The same assistant, built twice: once for DAZ Studio 4 and once for DAZ Studio 6. Each is its own binary compiled against that version's SDK, not one plugin that happens to load in both. Use the DAZ Studio 4 plugin today and move to DAZ Studio 6 when you're ready, without buying again.
Ask for a figure and it searches your own installed library, loads it and fits the clothing. Ask for a camera angle, lighting, a surface change, an animation or a render, and it does that too. Then it captures the viewport, looks at the result, and corrects itself.
WHAT IT CAN REACH
Figures and props from your content library. Cameras and lights. Surfaces, textures and morphs. The timeline, including writing a whole animation in one pass. The renderer. 120 tools on DAZ Studio 6 and 114 on DAZ Studio 4, with the same names and behaviour in both, so what you learn in one works in the other.
WHAT IS DIFFERENT ON DAZ STUDIO 4
Six operations are not offered at all, because that version of DAZ Studio genuinely cannot perform them: applying and resetting poses, duplicating a node, and reading or writing render settings. They are not hidden failures. The plugin does not advertise them, and if you ask for one anyway it tells you plainly why and what to use instead. On DAZ Studio 6 all of them are available.
WHY IT IS SAFE TO POINT AT A REAL SCENE
It cannot run code. Every action comes from a fixed list of allowed operations, each classified read-only, reversible or destructive, and destructive ones require explicit confirmation. Every operation is grouped into exactly one undo entry.
The plugin serves the connection itself, on your own machine only, behind an access token, and it stays switched off until you start it in the pane. Installing the plugin opens nothing. No content is downloaded or generated.
WORKS WITH LOCAL AI TOO
Any AI client that speaks MCP over HTTP can connect, including a model running entirely on your own computer. It has been tested with local models in LM Studio. With a local model, nothing about your scene leaves your machine.
SETTING IT UP
Copy each plugin into the plugins folder of its DAZ Studio version and restart. Open Window > Panes > SceneAgent MCP, press Start, then press Copy MCP client config and paste that into your AI client. The manual covers clients that use a different configuration format.
