Soma Flat Module 3 - Bath Set for DAZ Studio
The Bath Set Module is an independent props module. It is perfectly capable of being loaded into any rendering environment you might want to use. SOMA Bath set is a collection of common bath/dressing items which can be loaded individually or as a scene subset. It has an ornate, rich style which is at the same time vintage in look. The tub is quite large, as are most Causam3D bathtubs. The shower plumbing loads to nest in with the bath plumbing and works equally well with or without any other of the bath props. SOMA Bath set is designed to provide the artist with as much flexibility in layout and blocking as is possible to get. You can load any individual item at world center and move it anywhere in your scene, be it SOMA or not, as you see fit. This is also true of the entire set. SOMA Bath Set does not distinguish between a SOMA environment or any other environment.
SOMA Bath Set Module contains:
1) A large free-standing bathtub with plumbing and bath water.
2) Shower plumbing and a dForce curtain which wraps around the bathtub. This is a dForce item. Shower droplets are included and are morphable for individual drop size.
3) A free-standing towel rack.
4) A dressing table with a mirror that can be illuminated.
5) A bench with a cushion.
6) A wrapping towel which loads onto your character. This is a dForce item.
7) A draping towel which loads at world center and can be moved anywhere in the scene to interact with any other object. This is a dForce item.
8) A large rug.
9) A pedestal with two steps all the way around that serves as a base for the entire set when loaded together.
NOTE: the SOMA bath set does not include a commode.
Finding your product:
After unzipping into the content directory of your choosing, go to Props --> Causam3D --> SOMA Bath Set.
Collision:
The curtain loads without a smoothing modifier. We advise that you leave it that way. The tub has a static dForce surface which also serves to remove any clipping that may occur during a simulation, which takes care of any interaction between the tub and the curtain. In addition, the curtain has the Poke Through Fix morph built in to do any final touches that might be necessary. HINT: if you add a static dForce surface to your character with a healthy collision offset, it also makes life easy. Not only with the shower curtain but indeed with any dForce product. - That's a "pro tip" :)
Towels load with a smoothing modifier applied, but you will need to set the collision object for the draping towel in the Parameters tab under "General --> Mesh Smoothing" to be whatever you want this towel to collide with.
