Gateway Arch 3D Model
This model was built near to scale within couple of percent of actual general dimensions.
It has a realist appearance and textures showing the bare stainless steel used in the construction of the arch. The model is fully textured and is available in several formats.
This model also includes a small amount of ground at the bottom of the arch to allow the user to build around it.
The St. Louis gateway arch was built to commemorate the launching point west for the Conestoga wagons and the drive to open up the western United States in the mid to late 1800.s The monument was built in 1963 with a skin of stainless steel. It was designed as an inverted catenary arch, the tallest in the world at 630 feet. It is currently still open to visitors. Visitors ride a capsule elevator from the base to the top where a small room is located to allow visitors to look out at the surrounding scene and the Mississippi River.
