The Martin 202 was one of the first modern airliners. The twin-engine piston aircraft was designed and built by the Glenn L. Martin Company. It was also known as the 'Martin Executive'. The first flight of the Model 2-0-2 was in November 1946 and it proved to be a popular aircraft until the cause of a 1948 crash was found to be structural fatigue in the major wing spar.
