Some asset sites like Daz3D or Renderosity have coupon codes or discount codes to entice potential customers to purchase items in the shop. I'm wondering if renderhub has something like that available?

Are they really discounts though? I've had the sense that Daz in particular prices discounts into the base price of their products. Would be interesting to hear what folks with inside knowledge have to say about this.
To your original question: I've received discount codes from individual vendors via DM and checkout asks if you have any discount codes.. so they exist in concept.

Vendors do that on their own from time to time. I've gotten PMs from various vendors here when they offer a promo code on their entire shop.

So a 10% off Coupon will not help with a 20% off sale
A 30% off Coupon will be applied instead of the 20% off sale

Okay, so no crazy stacking on top of stacking of discounts like Daz3D has. Noted.

We don't like to confuse people with multiple stacked discounts, buy this to get a discount on that, conditional coupons, or things like that.
Just to confirm what others have said...
If you use a coupon on a sale item, the largest discount will automatically apply. And at checkout, you'll see a note of what was applied.
