Opinion on Structuring a Daz Product
107I'd like to hear some opinions on this. I recently made 2 products but organized them differently if you use the content browser instead of smart content:
https://www.renderhub.com/g3-renderworks/g3r-sign-props-and-poses
https://www.renderhub.com/g3-renderworks/g3r-american-football-prop-and-poses
For the signs, I placed the folder in props with the poses organized inside because the signs were the focus of the product. For the football, I placed it in the respective G8/G9 pose folder and included the prop inside because it was more pose focused. No one has complained to me about either one but I'd like to maintain some consistency in the future. Thoughts?

Yes, if the poses are specifically designed for the props, as you mentioned holding the signs, then putting them in a folder beside the props make finding them easier for people who use the content library.

For packages like this, to play it safe, I'd set it up to People/Genesis 8/Poses/your product/subfolder props if that makes any sense. Personally speaking, I've learned to unzip downloaded products and make the necessary adjustments to the files and where I want them to go before cut and pasting them into my library.
Overall though, I'd make sure to keep the poses and props together. Too easy to lose track of, especially for those of us with huge libraries.

What you described is probably the best way to do it:
If the prop is the focus, include the poses with the "prop product". If the poses are the focus, include the prop with the "pose product".
You probably haven't heard any complaints because you've created a great user experience.

Thank you for the question and the user responses. This is useful information for designing our packages.

From a user standpoint, how you did it is the best way. Stuff that's easy to find and use makes me very happy.
