Maxsun dual B60 with 48GB VRAM announcement.. thoughts?
83so I saw.. well I saw 48G of VRAM and clicked the links to find this announcement: https://www.maxsun.com/blogs/maxsun-motherboard/maxsun-introduces-intel-arc-pro-b60-dual-48g-turbo-for-ai-workloads
I did some digging and it sounds like the Intel Arc will run IRAY (could work with DAZ) and that the Intel Arc B60's are ment to be stacked suggesting the dual gpu setup MaxSun is offering is simply the first of (hopefully) many.
More digging, finds this Tom's article https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/gpus/maxsun-unveils-intel-dual-gpu-battlemage-graphics-card-with-48gb-gddr6-to-compete-with-nvidia-and-amd where it suggests the maxsun could come in at about a grand. Also says that a base B60 and its hearty 24GB VRAM will MSRP for 500.
All of this is very exciting.. but what's the catch? I'm trying to find direct compute power comparisons or something that would suggest the rendering world would shy away from Intel GPUs. As is says in the title.. what are your thoughts?

I think it is urgent to wait until prices become reasonable
