Hello all, I recently decided to try out genesis 9 since now there's plenty of new products and support for it. I purchased the golden palace gens for g9. I installed it, yet it doesnt show up in the daz library. I tried opening it from the DIM, but a message pops up saying it cant be found. Has anyone had this problem? Also, I've messaged the artist/creator on the site I purchased it from and I havent heard anything. Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe you can try the forum on tne site where you purchased the product? The people there are actually helpful.
BTW - have you done a manual installation? Thats the way most (all?) Meipe products have to be installed

Mon, Jul 14I did put in a forum post over there, its still being reviewed for approval. I dont know how to manually install it....I've never been able to take a download that is made for DIM to successfully be manually installed

Mon, Jul 14Just do it manually. Download the file. Unzip it. Select the unzipped version. Right click through the file structure till you see the data, people, runtime folders. Copy those folders. Go to your Daz library and open it till you see the animals, people, runtime, data and such folders and then just paste the copied folders into it.
Its pretty simple though it gave me fits when I switched from poser over to Daz 10 years or so ago. Always unzipped directly into my daz library but a lot of people seem to have their own file structure so it always messed up in some way shape or form.

Mon, Jul 14Also, I think Meipe double zips sometimes, so you might have to unzip, then unzip again, but its still the same process once everything is unzipped.

Mon, Jul 14I tried that, and I see there is a genesis 9 golden palace file, but there was nothing in the file when I view it through the content library.

Mon, Jul 14Glad you figured it out. Makes manual installs alot easier and quicker once you figure out the file structure.
Never use DIM, if you don’t have to.
Use a decent zipping tool like 7zip, and unzip your purchased file into your DAZ content directory.
I have never understood the reason for all that DIM, smart content crap.
Use a zipper, like in the old days.
