A question here....isn't the DMCA an American law that's only enforceable in the US?
Couldn't Valve/Steam simply set up a sales shop in a more civilized country?
I'm sure there'd be lots of countries that would not only be happy to host Steam, but also set up a payment system that only they would control.

Thu, Aug 14Sorry, it's late but, yes, is a US specific law for copyrights infringement. I guess in reality is not a bad thing, but how you use it seems to be if left unchecked.
You might want to research the term 'Denial-of-Service Attacks' before engaging in this. Specifically the prosecution of said attacks.
