Remeber the legendary Second Reality Demo by Future Crew?

No, I wasn't familiar with it and had to look it up on Wikipedia first. But now I'm all the more amazed 
For anyone else who doesn't know: no, it's not a demo for an early 3D program, but a Coder demo. That means everything you see is generated virtually. For 1993, it was quite an amazing thing, considering that a 486th was recommended for its execution (as mentioned, it is ONLY software). The related article on Wikipedia is recommended.

I'm not familiar with that one. I wasn't using a PC in those days. I was into the demo scene but it was first of all on the C64 and then the Amiga. The demo scene was especially vibrant on the Amiga cause the hardware capabilities at that time were state of the art.
I had a mate who had a dial-up modem used to copy the demos to floppy disk for me
