Disqualification Note:
Unfortunately, our judges saw quite a few entries that were not eligible to win.
Most of these reasons were because of missing or late wireframe images, and failure to use the provided runway stage.
For future contests, please pay careful attention to the posted rules and required deliverables.
We would love to see everyone's hard work eligible to win.

Mon, Sep 22I dont know how Eclipse Queen beat The Scarlet Raven, Sevi Blossom, and Blade, The Pink Dragon, Western Grit, Couture Spirit, and some more, just asking cause I'm afraid of participating in the next challenge. I read all the rules, as well as the contest forum. Can you clear some of my doubts, please? It can be very short, so I or anyone else can be aware of the mistakes that can happen. I am really not experienced at all. I just started my journey as a 3d artist. This is my 1 st contest, it took a lot of my time. I just want to understand who or how they got disqualified. Please reply if you can. thankyou...

Mon, Sep 22just so you know, and this is just my opinion.
you did great, in fact very very great, the level of detail, technicality of the work, quality of render, colors and lighting compared to a lots of other submissions and plus the originality of the work, they are all in fact very great.
I'm not sure if they have disqualified you, or if so, for scaling the stage, but you also didn't have wip screenshots, which is essentially screenshots you'd take along the way of the progress, you only had screenshots of the finished product which might make some people think it's an old model you are using.
now this is my opinion and if they have disqualified you for changing the stage too much, I'm on your side since this is a fashion contest not make a stage contest.
but if it was for not having wip's and maybe you did have them and i missed them. then i can't argue with that.
and for the other part of your comment, i too have so much to say but i don't want to judge the judges, and i rather not to say anything especially in a great community like this where everyone is so nice and talented.
just
"Submissions will be judged on creativity, originality and technical ability. Judging will also take into consideration the difficulty and complexity of the overall execution of work."
so if it looks complex then it's complex and if it's made with zbrush then it's very difficult and technically amazing.

Mon, Sep 22I'm sorry, but I don't have a list of ineligible entries. We didn't ask the judges for that. Their job was to evaluate the entries and form an opinion based on the rules and judging criteria.

Mon, Sep 22Thank you for the reply, but artists won't stick to these challenges, knowing judges can sideline anyone for any reason, or even personal reasons, and the artist won't even get the answers. I am not saying I should have won the contest, and I am the best. I started sculpting for the Horrific Render Contest 4, and I also posted them, but now I can't decide whether to take part or not. Sorry if I said something bad. Thank you.
It was a fun contest
Congrats to the ALL the Winners!!
I had not modeled any Character clothing in a longs while and this was a nice exercise for me to try some new tools & pipelines
I did not win or get an honorable mention but I know for a fact that none my seven entries were disqualified.
I know this because I read and understood the simple instructions that so many chose to ignore even after direct clarification from the Admins.
Use the provided stage set in your MAIN render.
embelish it all you want but you must use it at least once.
many entries ignored this requirement
Show some WIP wireframes of your original clothing models in the clothing creation program of your choice (CLO/MD ,Blender, Maya,,C4D etc)
Many people showed only wire frames in Daz studio.
you can't model original clothing inside Daz studio.
Also, while not necessarily a disqualifier,
this was a fashion clothing modeling contest
Not a creative writing contest on fashion history with external wikki links. LOL!!

Tue, Sep 23I thought for sure one of your entries would make it into the running. Your outfits were cool and unique, and your presentation really popped. I wonder if having multiple entries might have hurt your chances. If voting "points" were spread out instead of focused on one...
You're right about people not following the rules. I can't figure out how people could spend so much time on the hard stuff, and miss the simple stuff. Clearly, you didn't miss it.
Best of luck to you next time.

Wed, Sep 24That could have happened in my case, cause I removed the crowd from the main render, but also had one with the crowd. Also, I posted more screenshots after the contest ended. I wanted to know if I got disqualified or not, cause I want to take part in contests. These contests really boost your knowledge and make you push harder, but what if I get disqualified again after months of creating something for the contest, for mistakes I am not even aware of? The contest was great, and the submissions were great. I never thought of winning because I saw a lot of art far better than what I made. I'm making something for the next contest, let's see what happens there. Best of luck
