Headband as a "Hat" or an Accessory

Unable to find a simple headband to add to long straight hair for G8F. I must have every hair that has a headband built in, and some that can be used standalone, but none that have that simple headband look.
I am not bothered about pokethrough / fit for any hair it sits on as there are plenty of tools to use to adapt it.
Example: Classic

OOT has a fairly nice hairband hair over at Daz, though it seems to be sitting a bit high on the hair and doesn't deform the hair sufficiently for my tastes. if you search 2021-11 Hair for Genesis 8 and 8.1 Females you should find it, though you may already have it based on your comments. Modelling something like that would be pretty easy though.

Many thanks for the quick reply. I have that hair & band. Would prefer a standalone that can be worn with any hair if someone is up for the commission.
Tried making my own with a Torus primitive, but my Daz experience is still less than 2 years, could not get it right.

Wed, Sep 24Blender is the tool I would suggest considering for creating your own.
1. Export the Genesis figure you wish to support as an OBJ file.
2. Import it into Blender, then go to Edit Object and select Faces. Choose the faces on the Genesis head that will form the band, and split and separate them from the geometry once they are selected.
3. Now, using that new geometry you have created, go into Sculpt mode. Bring it up to about where the hair would be, and sculpt the details. Add faces, smooth it, then texture paint, UV unwrap, and so forth.
4. Import the object. If it is for your own use, then you need not worry about turning it into an accessory. Simply make the material look lovely, shrink it if needed, add a subdivision modifier, fit it as best you can, and so on.
Don't forget about saving the material, and the object in Daz, so you don't need to do the material setup all over again next time you'll use the headband.

Wed, Sep 24Am I missing a trick here. Could I use that hair, and hide everything except the headband, then load another hair?

Wed, Sep 24I feel a bit embarrassed as I do this on scenery and clothing all the time.
Never thought to do it on the actual figures / hair!
Thanks @Tenserknot and @KuraiKya.

Wed, Sep 24And forget everything I said above, this is a professional hairband
you can re-use on many characters for years to come

As an update, the headbands I have that I can use by hiding the accompanying hair are unfortunately not working out for my usage case. KuraiKya and OneTouches hairs with bands look great, if that is the style you are going for.
However, as I am hiding the original hair and due to the angles and the hairs I am wanting to use the band with, it clips through the ears or side of head when I reposition, and mesh grabber / whatever comes with premium, distorts it too much.
So I am still looking, ideally for someone to create a stand alone head band that can be worn as an accessory and with position adjustment. A selection of style would be great!
Appreciate any further help.
