FlippedNormals , another good 3d market is closing due to rising costs of tech infrastructure and a challenging financial market .
They send mail to all vendors in last month .
Hope Renderhub is still good about that , please don't tell me in last month like that

So... A 95% payout rate to vendors wasn't a sustainable business model then. How could they not know that? It doesn't take a genius to figure that out.
I'm surprised they didn't just adjust the royalty rates to something that made more sense, instead of shutting it down the way they did.

Sat, May 02Maybe you didn't realize it, but they did offer 95% payout. See my screenshot below.

Sat, May 02I sold at there for more than one year ,95% payout is not for regular vendor, I got only 70% but that is better than RH
But it doesn't matter now, the market is already closed
I just don't want this market will be closing like them

Charging vendors a bit more in order to stay in business is a no-brainer. It makes me wonder if there isn't something else going on and they're using 'increased costs' as an excuse to close. Maybe the owner(s) are just tired of running it?

As far as I've heard, FlippedNormals is (or was) somewhat selective when it came to vendors. You first had to submit a portfolio before the site operators would even consider accepting you as a vendor. Well, that might be possible if the financial situation is good. But it isn't.
So I could imagine that, for this and the other reasons mentioned, the result was a frustrating brew.

I think if RH have lesser buyer like today (or I misunderstand), one day they may be forced to do like that

Flippednormal does not shut down, they will just sell their own product leaving all seller.

And it is good sign that RH monthly Traffic is incresing (according to semrush).

Yeah, as said elsewhere in this thread, Flipped did not / is not shutting down, they are simply going back to where they started, selling their own products, and products they buy out to sell.
They took a bit too much on when they opened up the store to "Everyone" and they DID offer 90% payouts to vendors IF and ONLY IF traffic was sent to direct links that resulted in sales, I know a good number of vendors who did that and made decent sales, but I know 100% a marketplace can not sustain if more and more vendors did that.
