mostly weird, experimental ambient but in the past 2 months, I've been on a really intense Boards of Canada binge ever since they finally confirmed they were back in April.

Sat, Jun 13I am obsessed for 15 years now with Canada's best music export ever.
Devin Townsend.
If you know him, you'll understand, that he won't be just a background moise, despite the fact, that ambient music is also part of his musical catalog.
His music has been once described humorously as a mix of Slayer and Enya.
This guy is truely a genius, and I was once lucky to have him met in person down in the catacombs of the Royal albert Hall in London.

Sometimes I'll play early and mid Pink Floyd albums, preferably More (except Seamus) and Atom Heart Mother.

I never really listen to music, while working on a render.
It's either listening to music intentionally or working on renders.
I just cannot do both.
Sometimes I have TV news channels running in the background.

Sat, Jun 13I would not deny the weirdness in that.
Hey, after all Im a 60+ male, who is playing with digital dolls, if that is not already weird enough.

Sat, Jun 13LOL that is older than I would have expected. I'm probably older than A lot of users here....I'm almost 46.
Mine varies greatly. Everything from the Hu to folk, to metal, to inspirational shit. This guy is one of my favorites for making fantasy art:

Sat, Jun 13Him and Adrian Von Ziegler have been on the list of my favorites composers for over a decade. Good to see he is still making music.
If you like synthwave I find this song to be the best for getting into a flow state.

The thing is I'm probably rendering in a different environment than most people. I have my PC hooked up to a home theater in my basement. Klipsch surround sound system. Two 12 inch SVS subwoofers. 75 inch samsung QN90d. With my screen so bright and vivid with HDR I sometimes wonder how my renders look on other peoples displays.
