I uploaded an image 48 hrs ago and marked it as "Mature" because some of the guys dick is visible. Now the Mature rating has gone along with - I'm guessing here - all images in the gallery which had been tagged as such by the artists. I looked at the galleries of many of the people I follow and huge swathes of their work has vanished. No warning, nothing. What's next? Anything labelled as "moderate"?
This whole episode has pissed me off. Both artists and vendors acted responsibly and followed the rules.
RH is the only place I post my work. The community here is just the right size - large enough to ensure variation but not so big that its overwhelming.
Also, I can't find any of the forum threads on why RH has done what it has done nor any of the discussions about it.
I been thinking for a while of building my own website and putting my work there or looking into setting up an account with Patreon. Not sure what I'd sell there but there would be more freedom.

Hmm... I'm not entirely sure I understand what you mean about the gallery. I just took a quick look... and my PasahRi content was (I think) still there. One of the pictures I had posted as MATURE was also visible with SafeSite OFF. However, it is possible that a second (secret) purge took place, for example, when it comes to pussies or little willies.
Anyway, the current SafeSite OFF gallery is (to me) so boring that I'll probably only visit it when I know that 3D artists like you have posted something there ... (But don't ask me how I'm supposed to know that without having looked at the gallery first
As for the second issue (missing threads), I'm afraid I can't help you there either. Sorry! Both 'Big Changes at RenderHub: A Platform Evolution' (that title makes me still want to puXXX) and 'Why We Had to Make the NSFW Changes to the Site' are still there.

So I published my last image today. I moved here from Deviantart to display my work (non profit) because of the greed factor and thought I found a home of free thinkers. Guess not. Well that didn't last long. Guess I'll have to find a new home again or just quit all together. Seeing that none of my work was that risque by most standards, It's just not worth doing the work to be censored anyway. That's what you get for following the rules. Anyone with any leads on a REAL gallery feel free to drop me a note. Thanks to everyone who supported my efforts.

Wed, Jul 15You're more then welcome to submit your work to Rotica, free thinkers and we've hosted adult renders and products since 1999 and we have no plans of stopping any time soon, we also built a mini Deviantart for all users we call the "Artist Studio" allows you to post blogs, renders etc, add friends, follow artists, etc. The former owner Andrew (Ehjay) loved the features DA had but never liked how the site was ran so he had the programmers bring the features he liked into our platform into a hub type thing for each artist.

In my opinion, what we're dealing with here is an aggressive version of the 'new customers vs. loyal customers' scenario. You might be familiar with this: New customers get great rates (e.g., electricity or internet service), while loyal customers are stuck with the old rates, which are usually much higher...
In this case, it's not about rates, but all the more about new customers: anyone joining this platform for the first time isn't familiar with the diversity that once existed, but grows up with only the current simplicity. Now the only thing that matters (for the platform) is to get rid of its loyal customers as quickly as possible, since they might complain about what was lost....

I used to offer free products on the site. When they shut down for good, I don't recall receiving any message from them.
Admittedly, I hadn't logged in since the rather poor reception I got when uploading my first paid package; it was rejected, with the only explanation being a link to the guidelines.
I had a right to expect better in terms of partner relations...

Especially in areas like 3D, where creators pay to use the platform’s infrastructure (by forgoing nearly 50% of the sales price), trust and reliability are paramount—on both sides. So the statement above 'The company has a right to build its business any way it wants' is utter nonsense in this case and has nothing to do with the reality on 3D platforms.

What bothers me is that the CEO of this place is also the one promoting the Studio replacement 'PoseStudio'.
I was all excited about this but after what's happened here....I feel like a balloon that's just had the air let out of it.

At this point, I don't even understand what's going on here anymore. And to be honest, even the gallery has really lost its momentum. I just stopped by the cgbytes gallery for a bit. Sure, it's retro and doesn't has many likes... but right now, it looks more interesting and diverse than this place (i.e., it can't be just because of the summer break)
