**PoseStudio 0.3.9 is out - and for the first time, you can just download and install it!**
This is a super early version for feedback purposes.
No compilers, no SDKs, no setup - a normal Windows installer:
**Download:** https://github.com/PoseStudio/PoseStudio/releases/latest
Grab 'PoseStudio-0.3.9-Windows-Setup.exe', run it, and launch from the Start Menu. No admin rights needed.
**Heads up:** Windows will show a *"Windows protected your PC"* screen - click **More info Run anyway**. That's just because we're a young open-source project without a paid code-signing certificate. Every build is compiled in public by GitHub Actions, straight from our source code.
**What you get:**
Import rigged, morphable figures ('.duf') and OBJ models
Click-to-pose with anatomical joint limits - plus full-body IK (see the tips post below )
A photoreal PBR viewport with 33 studio-quality HDRI lighting environments included
Pose save/load, undo/redo, multiple figures per scene
**Needs:** 64-bit Windows 10/11 and a Vulkan-capable GPU (basically any graphics card from 2016 onward).
Full install guide & troubleshooting: https://github.com/PoseStudio/PoseStudio/blob/main/docs/INSTALL.md
**This release exists for one reason: your feedback.** Tell us what's confusing, broken, or missing - right here, or via the 2-minute form: https://github.com/PoseStudio/PoseStudio/issues/new?template=usability_feedback.yml

I just installed Pose Studio and I don't see an asset panel on the left.
I have the same problem with both the installed version and the portable version.

Mon, Sep 07I understand, I'm used to early versions so I know not to judge, and I hope everyone trying it would keep that in mind as well towards more constructive criticism.
Hopefully an alternative to DAZ comes out of this effort of yours. Good luck!

For pose files, remember the last folder used for opening or saving, instead of defaulting to the Documents folder every time.

I can add multiple asset directories. BUT if I try to load an item that relies on the data folder in another directory, it doesn't see the needed data folder. The resulting error message is somewhat misleading because it states it is looking for the data folder for the item I'm trying to load (which I attempted to locate and created another unable to locate data folder message). I finally learn on the last error message that it looking for the data folder for the base figure which is in another mapped asset directory.

Now, as long as I navigate the program to the needed base asset directory, the figure will import.
Just in case, I have products installed in separate asset directories (Daz3D, Renderosity, Renderhub, etc.) and did map those in Preferences. These mappings do appear in the Asset Manager.
Using PoseStudio 0.3.10
Also, the error messages are popping behind the app instead of in front of it. I thought for a moment that the error messages were auto-clearing.

Wed, Sep 09I'm not a Linux user, but I saw on the page https://github.com/PoseStudio/PoseStudio/releases that the link to the source file :
Source code (tar.gz)
I think that's the Linux version, and you'll need to compile it to use it.

Looks interesting, so I installed it via the Installer exe. No Issues with that. Loaded a Custom G8F, no issues with that either. Am I supposed to be able to load a pose file? Well, I can't. I'm assuming it's due to user error. I can pose the figure in the viewport. That's as far as I got so far.

Thu, Sep 10You cant lode pose files yet, but I am glad it installed and seems to be working.
This is a super early version, so you can only load characters and pose manually using the IK system. We are still working on the look and feel of the view port and the IK posing.

Thu, Sep 10Noted, you also should be able to click off the figure and it goes away. It is just there to indicate it is selected
Just dropped 0.3.14: https://github.com/PoseStudio/PoseStudio/releases/tag/v0.3.14
If anyone is getting the code signing warning on install, this is normal and nothing to be worried about.Have a look at the "Heads-up: Windows will warn you" on the download page for more info on this.
