Mimmo3D StrandBridge – DAZ Studio 6 dForce hair to Blender 5.2 as real strands
60Hi everyone,
StrandBridge is now on RenderHub. It takes a DAZ Studio 6 character to Blender 5.2 and brings the dForce hair along as native Hair Curves, strand by strand, instead of cards or a mesh.
How it works: save your scene in DAZ and run the included script. It exports the final pre-render (PR) hair strands and records your Iray HDRI. In Blender, choose the .duf and pick Animation Rig or DAZ Appearance and Pose. Hair materials are converted for Cycles, and you can add optional Blender hair dynamics.
Reference test (Windows, DAZ 6.25, Blender 5.2.2): dForce Pixie Cut on Fabrice for Genesis 9, 174,040 strands with zero point-coordinate difference.
This is Early Access 0.1.0. Animated dForce simulations are not transferred, only the current shape. It renders in Cycles, not Iray, and only Windows has been tested so far.
It's built on the free Diffeomorphic DAZ Importer (bundled and credited) and the whole tool is GPL with full source. DAZ characters and hair are not included; the ones in the images are sold separately.

Questions and test results with other dForce hairs are very welcome.
