THIS JOB HAS BEEN COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY AND IS NOW CLOSED
what happened to me in this quarantine

Hello everyone, In this quarantine I have been my old modeling much better since two months ago my little brother lost my USB memory where I had all my modeling and animation projects. I know that all the modeling are in my store, but I only recovered the models that were free because I did not want to spend money on my own projects. So much was the frustration that I decided to do the modeling again, and this time I made them with better materials and a better topology, but unfortunately some of them I will put the price a little higher. But I will also do more projects that will be free. I have also made new models that you may like. So I hope you support me and follow me

Dear Edwin,

Pity about you younger brother (lost USB); however this does not mean your files are lost/forever gone.

Can you tell me what version of operating system is on your computer - for example = "Windows"; and the version - for example = Windows 7 Home, Windows 8, Windows 10, Windows 10 pro.

Also - has your computer been 'backed-up' - or is it running 'shadow drive' support.

The brand (manufacture); model number; and year of purchase ... will also help me understand what options are available (data recovery).

I do not want/need: the computer or software serial numbers. You should never give those to anyone by internet (exception being if making warranty claim by telephone, from computer manufacturer or agent).

If your system has a back-up file, or shadow drive file,  we should be able to recover most/all your work.

Note: When not here (RenderHub) looking at art/graphics (maybe hiding from work) - I am one of the expert advisors in Windows Support Forum, and several manufacturers' support forums. If it is possible to recover your data - I will know how to do it.

Cheers,

Rick.

Hey there,

Unless I am mistaken, I believe Ion has already helped out here and provided him with all the files he had uploaded to RenderHub, at least.

Thanks for offering your assistance and expertise. It's nice to have you here.

Dear Ms Foxy,

                          Thank you for that.

My fall-back - if I could not get the data back via the shadow or back-up (or a quasi/secret option that exists {tech's emergency back-door} via code access, through Win update's 'recovery' function) - was to ask the RenderHub webwizards if they might allow Edwin to restore from his site files.

You are good folks here. I thought that would be the first/easiest response option - however the post thread (here) did not indicate Ion had already stepped in and had done exactly that.

I was just scanning through the listed 'unanswered' posts, to see where I might be able to help; while (as mentioned elsewhere) getting bored senseless during the virtual SC2020 (NVidia's international development conference).

Bit like folks (you have all done it) drawing doodles on your pads, while stuck in a really boring lecture (college/university, etc.).

 Amazing thing is - when over-exposed to really boring lectures; causing massive doodles ... next thing you know, you're a graphic artist/posting the best doodles on line! {laugh}

Cheers,

Rick.
