Fri, Oct 06, 2023Blood and gore is pretty horrific - so that is perfectly acceptable for this contest.
Nudity and sexuality are also OK.
However, since the contests do not have a content rating filter, we ask that people keep submissions Rated R and not X.
You can check out the winners of last year's Horrific Render Contest and see what was acceptable. That might help clarify things for you.

I am unable to do a wire thread image with the software I use. I can load two images a full colour one or Black and White is this Ok.

I have made my own versions of certain characters and as you might see from my profile, I rarely post things here (Because of my own issues not the site) but this is a fight I might actually have a dog in for once (if you pardon the expression)

Hello, I am using a forest from daz studio although it shows the main tree's as a wire frame some of the background trees do not show. This is a 100% Daz item and I can link if necessary and take screen shots..Is this ok I want to make sure before I carry on.

The main reason for the wireframe requirement is that it's (so far) an easy way to prove that it's not AI.
For your own purposes, it sounds like your scene may be using instances.
If you ever have a need to preview those instances, you can do that. Here's a thread with a screenshot that shows how:

Larger images are also accepted. Anything really big will be automatically resized by the system down to 4K resolution.

I was inspired by the film for sure but my entry deliberately uses a unique model custom made that is different from the original. the split face and the extra dog the tenticals the puddles infact the only things that are the same as the film is the set and the dog face. It would be good to know if i have screwed myself or not

For the purposes of the contests...
The owner told me the language you quoted is there to disqualify entries where someone copies another person's work and submits it as their own.
It is also there to dissuade people from using exact copies of things like The Terminator or Star Wars characters in their submissions.

That makes sense, I think I'm ok as it's a unique interpretation and not copied. I will leave it in the hands of the judges, anyway it was fun to make and share as a freebie. One more question. Is it too late to post the WIPs on the thread?

The judges will see what was uploaded prior to the deadline.

Is it just me or results are just another fail in a row of blunders? Not to mention slander campaigns from certain users that again (third time in a row) attacked some of the best artworks. BTW judges if I remember correctly were two 3D modelers (their names and links to their online presentations were removed from the official thread a few days after the original announcement). Judging by their showcase art they are at best mediocre. And since they are 3D modelers, I must say that 3D modelers are not competent to judge artistic forms in any way. It is like asking a combustion engine technician to judge Bugatti's designer work. Just to mention I didn't apply for this content, and the previous one, because I paraphrase'' Your work is too artistic for judges and it is unclear what message your artwork sends''.

Asking someone for better proof of work or what program they use and they dont and come out with every BS excuse why certain things dont up add is not slander, if you read the post correctly, if any insults and slander were coming from anywhere, it was the replies coming back to me. I didnt insult the work or the user.
Previous contest I brought up someone spamming hundreds of WIP images (which others have also brought up) NOT his work, I complimented it actually.
