Mon, Oct 30, 2023you have to look dayly into the pirateboxes and block the downloads on the provider.

Sun, Nov 05, 2023Well Hannes W, some artists can "create" a complete character with hair, props, different clothing items, different skin textures, makeup etcetera and sell them for a vew dollars. Such artists destroyed our chanche to sell something, I got 250 characters and I quit creating characters for now. I have days that I sell not even 1 character and so now and then vew people buy huge batches and place them on piracy sites. I not ganna type names here but I discovered a pattern between people who put items on their "favorites list" and people who purchase it in batches. I discussed it with a staff member but they do not whant to block those people.

In my case, a pirated character, I don't know, will almost never sell, maybe once every 3 months, and the servers where these pirated characters are uploaded protect these cheaters, since they pay them good money for their servers.

Sun, Nov 05, 2023the pirates earn mony from the hosting as they are only to use by payment in different high and stages.
They can seldom be claymed, as they sit in ugly countrys.
The only way to stop it might be to pack the products with a key, only given by the owner.
Then you have the pirates and can get your rights.
USB should tell us the names, they have no right to be anonymus. Dont ask the staff,
they are not interested to loose a buyer.

Tue, Nov 07, 2023Some artists tried having a key to their product way back (before the Victoria 4 generation of characters) but it never really took off. I'm not sure exactly why.
Making money (or a living) in this business as an artist is hard. I've been partnered with Causam3D for a few years now and it seems like a constant uphill struggle against one thing or another.

The bigplayer, daz and rederosity also doe nothing to kill the pirates. The
see it as an advertizing for thr shop itself.
No one can live from selling products, exept the stores. They are the only
winner in this war. That is my reason to slow down publishing.
If all artist stop the selling in all shops for a month or so, the buisinesplayer
might think of protection for them.
