I'm becoming extremely hesitant about buying here because so many products are either blatantly stolen from larger 3D vendors (yes, I've checked), or are game and movie rips (yes, 3DUK, I'm looking at you).
The latest is the blatant copy of Jack Tomalin's 'Anderson Hall'. The clown who's selling the 'recent 'Mission Hall' has displayed a complete lack of originality or respect for another's work.

You talking about the Mansion Hall that was posted recently? It's a big floor with columns and a central staircase. That's where the similarities end. Do you have any idea how many real-life structures use that exact same motif? They're especially ubiquitous in period pieces, dozens of mansions with that exact same feature have been rented as film sets for the last century of cinema to showcase them.

From PR experience this seems awfully similar to creating a topic to get people to comment and pitch in the other shop.

It absolutely is an issue though. When some vendors submit somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 thousand models, questions should come up. If someone spent an entire day to complete one model, it would take north of 14 years to have a library of assets that large. I could see a dev crew of perhaps a dozen people, but one person? Nope tf out.
