Summer provides time away from the "social curse" of school for Daisy to be in the pasture with her horse. Her horse won't comment on her clothes, her body, or her face. He doesn't care about any of those things. She cares for him, and he cares for her. It's a refreshing and welcome change for her. Daisy is always the truest version of herself out here and happiest when she's with him.
