Thus, while brave little soldiers battled tirelessly under the blazing summer sun, the support crew kept the ammo flowing, the lemonade and soda cold, the barbecue sizzling, and morale high.
Even the backyard's air-defense unit was valiantly intercepting aerial targets. (Sorry, flutterbies.)
Because no backyard was ever won on an empty stomach, or without family, friends, and... plenty of summer fun.
