Anchored In Your Gaze I
The quiet inside Jill Valentine’s apartment was a fragile, fleeting commodity. Outside, the sweltering September air of Raccoon City hummed with an ominous, low frequency tension, the distant wail of sirens, the shatter of glass, and a creeping dread that the city was rapidly unraveling. But in the dim, golden glow of her bedroom lamp, the chaos of the streets felt miles away.
They sat close together on Jill's bed, her fingers sliding up from his broad shoulders to rest gently against his jawline. From an unseen window to the left, a cool, blue-tinted ray of moonlight cut through the darkness, washing over their skin and mingling with the warm lamplight. For a brief moment, neither of them spoke. They didn't tease or pull away, allowing their foreheads to lean close until their breath mingled in the quiet space between them.
"Do you think we'll make it out?" Leon murmured, his voice a low rasp against the quiet room.
Jill looked directly into his eyes, her expression fierce despite her soft touch.
"We don't have a choice, Leon. We survive. Together."
The heavy mirror on the back wall held their reflection steady. It showed two survivors suspended on a razor thin line between perfect control and utter surrender, their figures silhouetted against the dark wood furniture and the pinned evidence boards of Jill’s ongoing investigation into Umbrella.
Leon’s hands rose slowly, his touch careful and reverent as he anchored her close, grounding them both in a reality that didn't involve heavy firearms, tactical vests, or the monsters lurking in the dark. In a city where trust had become a deadly liability, they had somehow managed to find a rare, unyielding piece of it in each other.
With their foreheads still resting together, Jill kept her eyes open, staring directly into his. There was no hiding behind closed lids or shutting out the world; instead, they anchored themselves completely in each other's gaze, finding a silent, unbreakable understanding in the space between them.
In the soft, hazy hush of the apartment, the impending nightmare fading outside no longer mattered. For this final, fragile hour before the dawn, the world belonged strictly to them.

Created using Daz Studio 4.24. Planned out the scene and poses in a few days. Still learning DAZ Studio after over a years of use. Duration of render was around 1.3 hours in Nvidia Iray with a 9950X3D and RTX 4090, that's due a medium Fog Atmosphere being used which take up GPU resources.
Post work was lowering the contrast and adding the watermark.
No AI involved, just a lot of hours sitting on my backside creating this render.
