Onna-Bugeisha
3D Render by Dark ChromeDeep in the neon labyrinth of a near-future metropolis, where cybernetic enhancements and ancient syndicate codes intertwine, she stands as a modern embodiment of the onna-bugeisha. Clad in a dark kimono with a cyber-netic prosthetic and an edge-lit blade, she carries the unyielding weight of jingi, a silent guardian navigating a world where honor is paid in steel.
Designed specifically with the layout, letterbox framing, and typography of a neo-noir film cover.
This piece explores the collision of traditional Japanese warrior heritage with a neon-drenched futuristic underworld, centering on a lone martial artist framed against a glowing shoji screen.
Built using Daz Studio for the character design and base assets (some substance painter work too), then brought into Unreal Engine 5 (path trace) for the final cinematic environment rendering, lighting. Color grading and film grain were added in Photoshop, post.
