The Liberators
3D Render by MirikoyaTHE LIBERATORS
A Tale of the Last Sunset
They came at sunset.
Not from the stars. Not from the depths of the earth. They simply appeared.
Towering above the rooftops of dying cities, their grotesque silhouettes rose against a blood-red sky. Their bodies were impossibly thin, their limbs unnaturally long, their faces twisted beyond human comprehension.
Some wandered among the ruins. Others floated silently above the streets like the corpses of forgotten gods.
They called themselves the Liberators.
And they claimed they had come to save humanity.
"We have come to end your suffering."
"We have come to free you from fear."
"We have come to bring you peace."
But wherever they appeared, death followed.
Cities crumbled. Rivers turned black. The streets filled with ashes and the cries of the dying.
Mothers searched for children who would never return. Survivors hid beneath the ruins, praying for a mercy that would never come.
Yet the creatures continued their sacred mission.
They brought nothing but grief, destruction, and death.
And still, they called it liberation.
One evening, beneath the burning sky, a little girl emerged from the ruins and looked up at the towering monsters.
"If you came to save us... why is everyone dead?"
One of the creatures slowly lowered its head.
Its ancient voice was almost gentle.
"Because, little one..."
"The living can suffer. The dead cannot."
It extended its enormous hand.
"And we have promised to end all suffering."
The last sunset faded.
The final human scream dissolved into silence.
And at last, the world was free.
“They promised liberation. They delivered extinction.
THE LIBERATORS
They did not come to conquer humanity.
They came to save it.
From the burden of being alive.
