"... it was just about that time; that time when I was cursing my bad luck. I was cursing the bad luck of my connecting flight being cancelled, the bad luck of having to stay overnight in a city I didn't know at all, the bad luck of being put in probably the LEAST expensive room in a huge, overcrowded hotel, when said hotel was hosting some big, black tie/glam event that meant the bar I had hoped to drown my troubles in was packed full of stuffed shirts and stuck up prudes... it was just about that time that the crowd parted, and my eyes met hers. They were cool gray, but the look she gave me was warm; and her smile was unforced, natural... welcoming.

It was just about that time that I figured maybe my luck wasn't so bad after all."
