The elven princess Rhawones, heir of the Forest Queen, is being shown around town by Carastariel, a successful architect and former fashion model who has lived in New York City for the last 70 years (nearly her entire adult life) after growing up in the Forest realm.

Rhawones had a reputation for being wild, irresponsible, and shockingly uninhibited with the opposite sex (even by human standards, let alone elven) during her adolescence and early adulthood. In the two centuries since, she has matured considerably, but is still bold, self-centered, and flirtatious. It has only taken two days for Rhawones's antics to completely exasperate her hostess and guide. Here Rhawones is responding with a wink and a wave to some men working outdoors who have made some inappropriate comments as they passed, embarrassing Carastariel.
