The Demoness, Revisited
3D Render by ThoreandanA rework of my demoness character, Delaroxxa. Previous renders and vignettes written about her can be found here: https://www.deviantart.com/theotherthoreandan/gallery/70929277/delaroxxa-the-demoness
After converting from V4 to G2F to G3F to G8.1F, some oddities had added up and it was more and more difficult to work with the character. From some side and three-quarter angles her features were too triangular and exaggerated and she looked like an older woman who had undergone one too many facelifts, but from the front her face was starting to look too cutesy. There were also some stubborn problems around the mouth and chin that I couldn’t fix with morphs. And I had somehow increased the scaling of her upper and lower face rigs, which had the effect of pulling the whole front of her face outward, away from the eyeballs and teeth. Finally, when I put her side by side with older versions that I used and liked in the past (like this and this), there were a surprising number of other differences as well.
So her face has now been completely recreated using G8 morphs, instead of converted morphs from older generations. I took some inspiration from older versions, but also tried making her a little bit more realistic, and I think she’s a little prettier now than she’s been for a while, too. But she’s still stylized: as a demon who chooses her own physical form, even in reality she chooses to have idealized features like larger eyes (and much larger irises) compared to an average human. I switched her skin texture, too, but I’ve done that many times over the years. This version uses Mousso’s Nisse. I might need to tone down the glossiness, though.
Daz Studio -> Iray -> Photoshop.
Criticism and comments are always welcome, and greatly appreciated!

Nice rework on the demoness. She has that knowledgeable look as if she can see right through people and know exactly what they are thinking.
Also the pose and facial expression exert a confidence in herself. Well done

Fri, Jun 09, 2023Thank you very much for the kind words! Youve hit the nail on the head, she is an expert manipulator of humans because she can grasp quickly what they want and how they will react to her. Even if she may seem a bit frivolous sometimes, shes more insightful than she lets on. And self-confidence is one of her main defining traits.
