3D Render by maru_berlinWhen Gemvanish Silverhide was unexpectantly confronted with both a big stash and its keeper, he assumed that his time had come. But, as the mine's druid had suggested when he left for his quest, he knelt down and prayed to the old gods admittedly something he hadn't been doing for a while. A long while, actually.
To his and the dragon's surprise his words were heard and he was granted both improved strength and splitting force for his blade. Which made his life thereafter a rich one and the one of the treasure's keeper a considerably shortened one.
Most effects in this image are rendered (fire, runes, 90% of the sword magic, ambers), fog, smoke and glows are added in post. Scene is lit with 3 ghostlights and a night-scene HDRI, postworked with Luminar, ON1, Nick Collection and Photoshop. Also tried a painterly version - unfortunately my old gods did not grant me wonder, so this render remained as you see it now.
