3D Render by dwindt"I must go down to the sea again..."
As promised Beachlegs, a whale render.
A stunning Sketchfab" whale, superimposed on the top half of a photo of the ocean and a buoy. I've painted the whale tail splash with Photoshop brushes, aswell as created the split screen with ripples and bubble brushes. The lower halft is 3d, with selected Photoshop brushes to enhance the caustics and shadows.
I have to dedicate this image to both Beachlegs, who requested it, and ninjxc, who have supported me so much. Thank you. I just hope my pc problem does not let me fade out for another 2 years or so.

Yes, you did your whale render in short time. Congrats.
The top half of your render looks kinda 2d while the bottom half, below the sea surface
seems to be 3d volumetric ocean , but you already stated this. Nice mix of 3d SBS movie effect I must say.

Mon, Feb 05, 2024Thanks drjivago. I started with 2d art before I started 3D. Its been a bonus cause I can post work an image quiet well if needed. The photo initially had 2 boats and land in the image. They had to be patched over first. Then I added the buoy and birds etc. After the 3d scene was rendered, I married the 2 halves together.
