Sabot
3D Render by Pushee-RiYou may know this from the promos. But I wanted to tell you more about the picture, so I rebuilt it a little larger.
Sabot:
Sabots were considered the working shoes of the lower classes in the 16th to 19th centuries. An alleged etymology describes the actions of disgruntled workers who willfully damaged workplace machinery by throwing their sabots into the works ... ... and thus invented the SABOTAGE. Finally a well thought-out use for worn-out shoes
One of the other promos bears the lettering NiMaitre. This is part of the anarchist motto: Ni Dieu ni maître (No god, no master).
The picture:
Even though the project was inspired by the advertising of the time (which was mostly reproduced as silk-screen prints/lithographs and therefore used few, bright colors), there were also artists who created Art Noveau works in pastel colors. I tried to reproduce this effect with DAZ. It wasn't easy ... but at least I can say: except for the font (via PS) no post-processing of the actual image.

Nur am Rande und nicht boese gemeint, doch Eco war bei weitem nicht der erste (und er nutze es glaube ich nur als Buchtitel)
Doch dem Philosophen Bernhard von Chartres (12. Jh.) wird folgende Metapher zugeschrieben: Wir sind gleichsam Zwerge, die auf den Schultern von Riesen sitzen, um mehr und Entfernteres als diese sehen zu können - freilich nicht dank eigener Sehkraft oder Körpergröße, sondern weil die Größe der Riesen uns zu Hilfe kommt und uns emporhebt.

Ja - ich weiss das mit den Riesen und den Zwergen ... aber ich verdrehe doch so gern alles moegliche: Worte, Saetze, Tatsachen und manchmal auch DAZ Modele
Zudem wuerde ich mich nie als (Geistes) Riesen bezeichnen, daher bin ich eben nur ein Zwerg, der auf der eigenen Zwergen-Schulter steht ... d.h. ich spiele eher auf den Erfahrungsschatz an, der sich mit zunehmenden Alter ergibt und aus dem man schöpfen kann (wenn man denn will). Irgendetwas positives muss man ja aus den fortschreitenden Jahren holen
