I guess this type of execution scenario was typical in the wild west where a hanging was a spectacle that the town's people wouldn't want to miss.

This impending hanging scene is more of "tongue in cheek" interpretation of what it might have looked like as an entertainment event, with tickets and refreshments available for those with little else to do but amuse themselves on a hot sunny afternoon watching a macabre event take place.

I just felt compelled to reconstruct such a scene in Daz Studio, rendered in Iray with models from a variety of sources.
