The Underbelly
3D Render by lux0No one really remembers who built The Underbelly, and anyone who claims to is probably lying-or drunk. Originally a refueling depot stitched together from salvaged cargo modules and an unofficial bird-watching satellite (don't ask), it now orbits Earth with all the grace of a duct-taped trash can. And yet somehow, its become the most infamous dive bar in low orbit.
Its run by its namesake barkeep-a former enforcer who traded a badge for a bottle and hasn't looked back since. The place is part saloon, part sanctuary, and part health hazard. The booths are sticky, the burgers are suspect, and its staffed by sexy robots who may or may not pass basic stability tests. Its powered by a gravity rig that mostly works and frequented by the kind of guests who like their drinks strong and their conversations strictly off the record.
Its where traders whisper deals, dead-eyed pirates pay in scrap, and lonely astronauts glare at Earth like it owes them money. Its not safe. Its not clean. But if you need a drink and a place to disappear, its always open-assuming the gravity holds.
Rendered in DAZ Studio at 8K resolution and refined in Lightroom.

Like this a lot, cool characters, bold colours and a nice blurb to go with it.

LuxO was the creator of the underbelly.
2000 years from now, space pirates land on earth. Find this render on a USB drive and decide to create the underbelly from your render lol
Big Busy scene, love the colors and the attention to detail on how all the characters are interacting with each other.
Nicely done Lux.
Best of luck with your comp entry
Fantastic story to compliment your work.

Wed, Apr 02Haha, thank you so much! I can die happy knowing space pirates will revive my concept thousands of years from now—what a legacy!
This particular scene was quite a challenge and took a lot longer than I anticipated, but it all worked out in the end. I had plans for some fancy Photoshop edits to enhance the scene, but I ran out of time.
Hope you’re doing well, and as always, I really appreciate your positive feedback.

Absolutely Fabulous!!
I wonder if you have ever seen the cult movie (In the USA), "The Fifth Element"? It has crazy SciFi stuff going on. You brought the feeling back for all of us loose and loopy space cowboys!

Very complex and interesting scene - it keeps the eyes moving around. How long did it take you to put this one together?

Fri, Jun 06Your hard work paid off. It's not overloaded in any segment, and keeps my gaze roving.
Tremendous render...Your composition is several levels above the usual. Cheers!
