Warden of the Sunlit Grove

Its protection falls not to walls or armies, but to guardians sworn to the land itself. Aelwen was born beneath the oldest oak, marked at her first breath with runes of ochre and ash, symbols said to surface only upon those who can hear the forest breathe and answer its call. Neither ruler nor servant of the wild, she stands as its quiet steward, bound by promise rather than command.
Aelwen hunts not for dominance, but for balance, ensuring the herds thrive and the predators never grow desperate. The deer do not flee her presence, and even the smallest creatures pause as her shadow passes. Her bow, carved from a fallen branch, hums softly when danger nears, and the forest itself bends subtly to guide her path. Those who enter the grove without malice may never see her at all, only the feeling of being watched and turned away, but those who come with greed or fire in their hearts are remembered only by the moss that reclaims their footprints.
