A Test of KuraiKya's Yennefer from the Witcher Wild Hunt
3D Render by EltucoIn this initial test spin we have KuraiKya's Yennefer from Wild Hunt, which other than fan art is one of the few visual 'canon' references available. Described in "The Last Kiss' as being very pale, with nipples so pale they seemed more like protrusions (sorry the paraphrasing as my copy of the book is elsewhere)and lacking lady hairs (another paraphrase) she was quite distinctive in her own way. My only fuss is a feint seam on her thighs; this can likely be smoothed in Surfaces.
KuraiKya was done a great job with this, and to my eye, hadn't just lifted the textures from the game, possibly tweaking them just enough to add what I think are nice touches around her face. As rendered in simple studio lights, she has the supplied hair applied with the supplied DForce add and eyebrows but no other tweaks or enhancing morphs beyond the most basic G9 nipples. No bending morphs or smoothers. What you see is what you get.
I've yet to run her through her more stressful posing paces, but she responds beautifully to the standard pinup adds like Realistic Nipples and Golden Palace for those rendering more intimate scenes. Her hair is pure Yennefer and settles pretty well under simple DForce simulation settings, but like most game rips, it cannot be tweaked for posing and might be distorted under some circumstances. It's still better, however, than the myriad (and often superb) game rips devoid of any hair adjustments or simulating capabilities at all.
Unlike his Tess, and several other game toons, KuraiKya's Yen comes without clothing. Her distinctive black and white outfits are available elsewhere, at least in G3 and G8, so that's not an immediate concern, She's still our Yen
Would I buy this toon? I did. Do I like it? Certainly. Game rips are a staple of the rendering hobby, and if they are well done, we can't have enough of them, particularly the secondary characters who are often overlooked. Yen isn't one of those, but she's available to enter your rendering library. Just don't piss her off, or she'll teleport you into a lake.
As a Witcher fan, I'll run this version of Yennefer in more comprehensive settings, though don't be surprised if she has unexpected allies from other universes.
Give her a try.

"particularly the secondary characters who are often overlooked."
This is a rather underrated observation. We do have many characters that have dupes left and right (which can be as useful as they are annoying), while others are nowhere to be seen.

Sun, Sep 07I/m with ya MK - so many great characters in so many games that would be a hoot to use. Tissaia de Vries was always one of my favorite 'tragic' Witcher characters, and was well cast in the Netflix series - possibly the best of them all short of Cavill's Geralt. Coral is one of the most complex and interesting, if not downright nasty. She got hers at Sodden Hill...
Where's Regis and Zoltan? Anna Henrietta? Orianna? They thought enough of her yo use her in a trailer....
Tommy from TLOU is a worthy candidate....
Could go on. Thanks for looking and commenting!

Sun, Sep 07Bit characters and side characters are fun partly because there's a lot of in-series flexibility that you have with them since they're generally not as developed as the main characters.
