Kimya Was Not Meant to Be Free a Message to Fellow Artists
3D Render by gendragon3dTo the 3D Community: A Personal Message from GENDRAGON3D
I'm reaching out today to share a difficult but important message. One of my most detailed and exclusive creations—Kimya for Genesis 9—has recently been found circulating freely on platforms that are not affiliated with Renderhub.
As someone living with a psychomotor disability, each project represents a personal and physical journey. The sculpting and texturing process, especially in ZBrush, is not only time-intensive—it also causes discomfort and muscle strain. Despite these challenges, I strive to deliver high-quality work with passion and precision.
Every month, I release free high-end props as a gesture of gratitude toward the Renderhub community, especially to those who appreciate digital art but may not have the financial means to invest. These gifts are offered openly and with joy.
However, Kimya is a commercial release created with extraordinary effort and exclusive features. Seeing it pirated and redistributed without permission is deeply disheartening—not just because of the personal investment, but because it undermines the spirit of mutual respect between creators and the community.
This message is not meant to shame or point fingers. It is a sincere appeal to honor the work and boundaries of independent artists. When you support us—by purchasing through official channels or simply respecting the terms of use—you empower creativity and inclusivity in digital art.
If you’ve come across Kimya outside Renderhub, I kindly ask you to refrain from sharing or downloading it further and, if possible, to direct others to the original listing. Your integrity strengthens the entire artistic community.
With heartfelt thanks,
GENDRAGON3D (Anderson)

Hi GENDRAGON3D
I can understand your sadness and possibly also your anger. Unfortunately, many people here on Renderhub and other platforms feel the same way as you do. I had already thought about a thread with DoroThee (to create a kind of cross reference table of buyers) ... but that might not work properly. At the moment I'm thinking about another, more closed option. But since I am not at work, it will take some time until a solution is ready for use.

I found a variety of our models on Chinese and Russian sites too. It is disheartening. But try to find some solace in that those that pirate things will vary rarely spend money on it at all. Our model BARB-13 was horribly pirated and yet it is our top seller still and has earnt more than any other model.
In short what I am trying to say is that I know the pain you feel as we have felt it too (we closed off our Patreon due to this) , however hopefully among the horrid pirates someone, somewhere uses the snatch and grab, links to you and then links back to the official product that you spent time creating and that in turn makes for some financial gain.
Much love and I hope the pain passes.
Asha x
