The Wishing Lamp
3D Render by bisonraviThis picture has a story. It comes from a very nice rendering made by maru_berlin called the "Unruly Genie" (https://www.renderhub.com/gallery/73054/unruly-genie). maru_berlin explained us how the picture was built and I imagined that it might be possible to make a similar picture without post-processing many pictures. This is the result.
To be honest, making the smoke with a VOB (volumetric object for IRay) was not really pleasant! And I still prefer the aspect of the smoke of maru_berlin's picture. But the challenge was to create a picture in one render!
I have added some pictures of the making-of!
Credits:
- The lamp is a free object from RafaelScopel available in SketchFab ( https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/genie-lamp-1f517175aa1649e9baa72f964b938448 ). I have posted a picture of this object.
- The outfit is a free gift from zoro_d ( https://www.renderhub.com/zoro-d ) but which is available on Renderosity ( https://www.renderosity.com/freestuff/items/82950 ). Thanks to him since he has very nice free items on RenderHub too!
- The baazar is a photogrammetric set coming from fab.com ( https://www.fab.com/megascans-free ).

Well done! I like the setting of the market stall (as I said " a real spice girl") and the pressure morphs are impressive. The cloud is rather dense, so I guess I prefer the painted in version.

And I agree with you, the painted smoke looks better! I think we could do better with the VOB shaders but I gave up fighting with the VOBs after hours of works!
