Neandertaler
3D Render by MjrkAnd now for something completely different: I wanted to test the Neandertaler-Figure for G9.
For some reason the textures were not found and the hair would not show up in the rendering.
So I decided to show him as if he lived today.
When you visit the Neanderthal-Museum you are greeted by a friendly smiling Homo Nanderthalensis.
Nowadays he has a woman at his side who doesn’t look so friendly. It looks, as if she wants to scare the visitors away with her spear. But further up in a gallery stands another one of their tribe, dressed in grey suit, looking quite modern. At first glimpse you might think he is just another visitor.
I gave my figure the texture from Zack G9, a modern hairstyle and some modern clothes. I guess, he is on his way to the University of Duesseldorf where he is studying Anthopology.
B.t.w. there is no need to show your tongue while pronouncing Neanderthal. It is just an outdated way to write Tal, which means valley or dale. T like in Texas or better in Tea
Thanks for looking!
P.S. If you are interested in Anthropology, have a look at the site of the brothers Kennis.
They are twins from the Netherlands who make fantastic lifelike reconstructions of our ancestors that show the fun in their work:

Very cool. Our understanding of Neanderthals has changed a lot since my archeology days, but unless we find another great site we may never know much more which is sad because Neanderthals thrived for 100,000 years or more....
An ice find would be perfect....
Great little render Mjrk!

Mon, Sep 22Thanks. I always thought that they had more intensive contact to our ancestors. And I got very happy when Svante Pääbo found a proof for their contributions to our DNA.
