A startingly blue car pulled up at the bar shortly after Brooklyn's ride had left. It was a two door and Maddison seriously considered calling another.

In the end as it was late and she was tired she did take it. The driver was neatly dressed and not bad looking which contributed more than a little to her decision.

After the long ride to her neighborhood the car pulled up at the building next to hers. Being big-city-cautious had made her give a slightly incorrect address.

Albert the building resident ratter was sitting on the steps of that building, apparently waiting for her, not at his usual spot in front of hers.

Maddison exchanged final pleasantries with the driver, promising to give him a good rating.

The car pulled away and she looked up at the vast tangled wood that towered across the avenue.
