MUCH LATER

Much later outside the Inn, the pulsing blue light within his wagon that had begun when Gwydion entered suddenly ended.

And so did the low keening that could be heard if one were just outside the wagon's door.

The horses stirred restlessly in the stables.

And the rain continued.

AFTER THE LIGHT GOES OUT

The doors to the wagon banged open and the thing that had been Gwydion crawled out carrying a faintly glowing blade.

UP AND IN

The thing began to climb the side of the Inn and onto the roof.

THE DOOR OPENS

The door to the second room swung slowly and silently open.
