Resident Evil: Shadows in the R.P.D. – Part 4--Final
The first floor of the library trembled under the weight of the Tyrant’s landing. Dust rained from the wooden walkways above as Mr. X straightened, his black trench coat smouldering. His inhuman stare locked onto Jill and Leon with mechanical precision, the faint hiss of steam escaping his burned chest.
Leon’s Minigun barrels spun once, then fell silent with a hollow click. Empty. The weapon’s weight suddenly felt heavier than ever.
“Out of ammo." he muttered, voice strained.
Jill didn’t hesitate. She swung the M202 Multi-shot Incendiary Rocket Launcher back into position, bracing herself near the overturned library table.
“Then it’s on me." she said, tone hard and focused.
Mr. X charged.
The floorboards splintered beneath each thunderous step as the hulking Umbrella bioweapon closed the distance. Jill steadied her aim, locking onto the Tyrant’s advancing frame. Her finger squeezed the trigger...
A roar of fire erupted from the launcher. The incendiary rocket struck Mr. X square in the chest, engulfing him in a storm of orange flame. The blast hurled him backward into a towering bookshelf, wood and burning pages collapsing around him. The creature’s guttural roar echoed through the library, a sound of both fury and agony.
Leon ducked behind a pillar as flaming debris rained down. “Nice shot!" he shouted over the roar of fire.
Jill reloaded, sliding another rocket into place. “Don’t thank me yet."
The Tyrant emerged once more, his entire upper body ablaze, flesh blistering, trench coat liquefying into molten leather. His steps faltered, but he kept coming, unstoppable even as the fire devoured him.
Jill steadied herself for another shot. “Come on, you big bastard…"
Leon joined her, pulling his Matilda 9mm handgun from his hip holster.
“Let’s end this!"
The second rocket hit home, exploding against Mr. X’s chest with a violent crack that tore through the room. The shockwave shattered the nearest bookcase, sending a storm of burning pages into the air. Mr. X’s body convulsed as the flames consumed him completely. He staggered, one step, two… then finally collapsed forward, crashing onto the polished wood floor with a deafening impact.
Silence.
Only the faint crackle of fire and the hiss of smoke filled the air.
Jill exhaled, lowering the launcher.
“He’s down." she said quietly, her voice edged with both relief and caution.
Leon approached the smouldering corpse, smoke still curling from the ruined trench coat. He kicked aside debris scattered near and bent over slightly. “Let’s make sure it stays that way."
The Tyrant’s body twitched once, then went still. The faint glint of scattered supplies near over his torso, caught Leon’s eye.
"Jill, look."
Following Leon's gaze, Jill is surprised by the appearance of a box of 9mm Handgun Ammo and a bottle of High-Grade Gunpowder marked with the Umbrella logo. Jill kneeled down next to the fallen Tyrant, retrieving the supplies and handed them to Leon.
Jill noticed more supplies hovering over the monster's massive back covered in charred smoking leather coat. Finding a set of Acid Grenade Rounds which she passed to Leon. Boxes of Steel Boy 12-Gauge Shotgun Shells and .357 Magnum rounds also revealed themselves, ready to be collected.
“Looks like Umbrella’s monstrosity came loaded," she muttered, pocketing the ammunition.
Leon stood, reloading his pistol and offering a weary smile. “Guess he won’t be needing these anymore."
Jill glanced toward the upper levels of the library, the metal ladder gleaming faintly in the dim light. The once-quiet sanctuary now looked like a warzone—books burning, floors cracked, and the unmistakable stench of smoke filling the air.
“Let’s regroup," she said. "There’s no telling what else Umbrella left crawling around this place."
Leon nodded, securing his gear. “After this? I’m not sticking around to find out."
They turned toward the exit, their footsteps echoing softly through the ruined library. Behind them, the Tyrant’s body lay motionless among the flames—one final monument to Umbrella’s madness.
Outside, the storm over Raccoon City raged on, lightning flashing through broken windows as the survivors pressed on through the nightmare.

Created using Daz Studio 4.22. Planned out the scene and poses in a few days. Still learning DAZ Studio after over a years of use. Duration of renders was around 180 minutes average in Nvidia Iray with a 9950X3D and RTX 4090, that's due a medium Fog Atmosphere being used which take up GPU resources. Post work was adding some vignette and adding the watermark.
No AI involved, just a lot of hours sitting on my backside making this render.
